The new Duster 2024 has been presented in Portugal. The budget crossover of the third generation will be available for sale in the countries of the European Union from December of the current year and January of the following year.
As before, in the EU, the model will be presented as the Dacia Duster, but in some countries, it will be sold under the Renault brand. The model remains budget-friendly but has moved up a notch. Dacia representatives stated that the starting price of the Duster will be less than 20,000 euros.
The new Duster has undergone a complete transformation – its exterior has become more distinct and follows the styling of the Dacia Bigster concept car. The design has become more rugged and granular.
The car features a high hood, robust bumpers, and pronounced wheel arches. The handles of the rear doors are concealed in the roof pillars. LED headlights are complemented by Y-shaped daytime running lights, similar in shape to the taillights. Dacia Duster differs somewhat in the frontal view.
Additionally, the Duster crossover has received distinctive off-road cladding made of a special Starkle plastic obtained through secondary processing.
The model is built on the modern CMF-B platform, just like the new Logan and Jogger, but in terms of dimensions, it is comparable to its predecessor.

Despite unchanged dimensions, the new Duster has become more spacious. The second row now offers an additional 30 mm of legroom, and the luggage compartment volume has increased to 472 liters.
The interior of the Dacia Duster features improved finishing materials, with predominance of textured surfaces. The steering wheel is angled from below, and the automatic transmission lever has been replaced by a compact joystick.
Moreover, a virtual instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen have been introduced. The multimedia system is enhanced with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The base configuration of the Duster 2024 has been expanded and now includes cruise control, parking sensors, and 6 airbags.
The top-tier variant comes with 18-inch wheels, keyless entry, climate control, a rearview camera, navigation, wireless smartphone charging, and an Arkamys sound system with 6 speakers.
Furthermore, the crossover offers interesting accessories such as a roof rack with a load capacity of 80 kg or a special box in the trunk with a fold-out bed.
The Dacia Duster crossover debuted in three configurations:
- 1.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 100 hp and factory-installed LPG system.
- 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 130 hp and a 48-volt mild hybrid system.
- Hybrid variant with 140 hp featuring a 1.6-liter gasoline engine and a pair of electric motors.
Later on, the lineup may be expanded with 1.3-liter turbocharged engines, while diesel versions will not be offered.
Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch robot with front-wheel or all-wheel drive.
The all-wheel-drive Dacia Duster models come with assistance for descent and various driving modes for off-road, mud, sand, and snow. The Duster’s ground clearance reaches 217 mm, the approach angle is 31°, and the departure angle is 36°.
